Office Refurbishment, DIFC
A 2,100 m² office refurbishment in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), delivered by Al-Suhool in 2021. The project combined a contemporary commercial fit-out with a classically detailed reception and circulation hall, pairing raised-access flooring and glazed fronts with a feature stone reception finished in dark veined marble, gilded pilaster capitals and bespoke perforated brass ceiling medallions.

Scope of works
- Full commercial office fit-out across approximately 2,100 m² of floor area within a DIFC building
- Installation of raised-access flooring throughout to route power and data and accommodate services
- Glazed office fronts and partitions to bring daylight deep into the floorplate
- Feature stone reception and circulation hall in dark veined marble with cream stone border banding
- Bespoke joinery and glass-fronted, internally lit display vitrines with black metal surrounds
- Classical architectural finishes including plastered vaulted ceilings, fluted pilasters with gilded capitals and perforated brass ceiling medallions
Design & features
- Dark veined marble flooring laid in a clean geometric layout and framed by contrasting cream stone borders
- Vaulted plastered ceilings accented by bespoke perforated brass medallions and recessed lighting
- Fluted classical pilasters crowned with ornate gilded capitals that anchor the circulation spine
- Glass-fronted display vitrines with black surrounds and integrated LED illumination for crisp product presentation
- Full-height glazing along the perimeter that floods the reception and lounge with natural light
The challenge
Working within an occupied, high-profile DIFC building, the brief called for marrying a modern, services-heavy office fit-out with richly detailed classical finishes, while maintaining strict quality and access standards across a 2,100 m² floorplate.
Our solution
Al-Suhool delivered the works with its in-house fit-out and stone teams, fabricating the marble flooring, gilded capitals and display joinery in its own workshop and installing them under a phased programme with rigorous QA/QC to protect finishes and minimise disruption.
The outcome
The refurbishment was completed in 2021, delivering a polished 2,100 m² workplace whose feature stone reception and classical detailing give the DIFC address a distinctive, premium identity.
